Sanitation a public places is attempt to prevent diseases that emphasize their activities on hygiene/health efforts. Public places can be adversely affected, especially if they are not monitored and managed properly. This study aimed to find out sanitation of Joras Beach tourist attraction in Tanah Laut District.
This study was descriptive, it described the condition of sanitation of Joras Beach tourist attraction in Tanah Laut District including: tourism sanitation study, environment, clean water facility, public toilets, waste water and garbage disposal, extension and health facilities and fire extinguishers. The method of study was observation by using sanitary inspection forms and interview. Data analysis was based on direct observation according guideline on the sanitation assessment result.
The result of each variable on sanitation assessments: environmental variable (40%), sanitation facilities (23,23%), and other variables (20%) had not fulfilled the requirements. So that Joras Beach can be declared ineligible for health with sanitation value 23,6%.
It is expected that Joras Beach manager can be well managed, provide public faucets, be aware to public toilets, perform simple treatment for waste water, be aware to waste management and facilities and infrastructure.
