Filariasis disease consist of two types, which are lymphatic filariasis and skin and tissue filariasis. Filariasis disease that happened in Indonesia is lymphatic filariasis. South Barito Regency becoming endemic filariasis region in Central Borneo. A finger blood survey was first performed in 2004 at Sanggu Village with Mf rate 1.34%. This research aims to determine vector spread of filariasis disease in Sanggu Village South Halmet Districts South Barito Regency year 2017.
Research design used is observational method with cross-sectional approach. Research population is all mosquitoes in Sanggu Village, research sample is all mosquitoes caught inside and outside of the house with taking 3 points on the settlement such as forest, swamp and lake. Primary data obtained while researching in the field from measurement results of entomology survey, meanwhile secondary data obtained from Central Bureau of Statistics, Health Department and Community Health Centers (Puskesmas).
The results of the research illustrate that there are 5 species of mosquito caught in Sanggu Village which conducted on 3 houses located nearby swamp, lake and forest namely Mansonia sp, Culex sp, Anopheles sp, Aedes aegypti dan Aedes albopictus. The most caught mosquitoes are Culex sp which is in the lake in the amount of 27.2 tail/person/hour. This can be influenced by the temperature and humidity in the village ranging from 24 ⁰C - 28 ⁰C and 84% - 90% humidity.
Prevention efforts that can be done is to socialize the Discovery of Chronic Filariasis Patients at village meetings and disseminate Filariasis promotional materials in public places. Collect data of chronic filariasis patients. Clean up the bushes or trees and branches so that sunlight can shine and enter the house.
